CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The summer drought in Chongqing is predicted to start from mid-July and last for 25-35 days. Lameigou Reservoir launched the pre-arranged planning of emergent impoundment this week, storing water for over 20 hours daily and reasonably conducting water dispatching, so as to meet citizens’ needs of domestic water, according to the Office of Chongqing Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters on July 7, 2013.
Lameigou Reservoir is the largest reservoir in Nanshan region, with the water storage of 120,000m3, supplying the drinking water for 9,000 people of Nanshan Sub-district, Xiakou Town, and Tushan Town.
